Planet Mars to be visible
Amateur celestial gazers can spot planet Mars paired with moon from
sunset to sunrise on Friday, a press release from Secretary, Planetary
Society of India, AP, N. Sri Raghunandan Kumar said. The moon will be in
conjunction with planet Mars at 10.41 p.m. on February 10 and both will
appear to be near to each other as seen from earth.
After 9 p.m., enthusiasts have to look towards the Eastern direction to
the bright moon and a non-twinkling star like object near it. This
non-twinkling reddish object is nothing but planet Mars, Mr. Raghunandan
Kumar said. Interested persons can also check out the planet during day
time. Before sunrise, public can look towards Western direction to spot
planet Mars. Apart from the conjunction of Mars and moon, one can also
checkout other planets like Jupiter, Venus and Saturn in the night sky
